Candied Bacon Scones with Bourbon Glaze

  • 3 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1.5 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1.5 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1/3 cup Chopped Bacon
  • 1/4 cup Heavy Cream
  1. Have the Candied Bacon and Bourbon Glaze ready nearby.
  2. Whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Add 1 1/2 c. cream, vanilla, candied bacon, and stir to combine.
  4. Divide dough in half. Flour a cutting board and pat each half into a 6″ circle.
  5. Brush each circle of dough with the remaining cream.
  6. Place dough on parchment paper and cut into 6 triangles.
  7. Pull each wedge apart slightly and place in the freezer for 10 minutes.
  8. Transfer scones on the parchment paper to the grill grates.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from grill and allow to cool.
  11. Using a 1/4 measuring cup, pour glaze over each scone and top with remaining chopped bacon.
